Over fifty headstones and grave sites can be counted at the Baptist Meeting House Cemetery which is designated on an 1837 map of Nacoochee.

All but two of the headstones are of unmarked field stones. The two marked headstones are of marble: Rachel Foster, 1773-1827, and Mary Farris, 1742-1827.

The congregation moved their place of worship to the upper end of Sautee Valley in 1851 and built a church still known as Old Nacoochee Baptist Church.
