Sautee Nacoochee, GA

The Center has always placed great importance on programs for the younger members of the community - classes and activities in the visual and performing arts. Young creative spirits need to be nurtured in the notion that creativity is not a secondary part of a well rounded life but an essential element at its very core.

Instructor Terri Edgar
every kid an artist

Join us for the Winter Artshop as we create Winter inspired multi-media projects, including drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture. An emphasis on individual creativity will make these sessions fun while we learn basic art techniques. This Artshop will include gift making, a joyful exercise in giving handmade presents! Snack is provided.

Terri is a former Arts Program Director at SNCA. She began the Artshops and Sautee Stars programs at the Center. Since then she has focused on facilitating art education for children. She worked at New Ebenezer Retreat Center as the art teacher, created and implemented an after-school art program for Gang Free, Inc. in North Carolina, and has spent the past 4 years as the art teacher for the 21st Century Learning Center at Colbert Elementary school in Colbert, Georgia. Terri has returned to the Sautee Nacoochee area and is looking forward to helping more children realize the positive effects of creating art!
