YOUTH CLASSES AND EVENTS

The Center has always placed great importance on programs for the younger members of the community - classes and activities in the visual and performing arts. Young creative spirits need to be nurtured in the notion that creativity is not a secondary part of a well rounded life but an essential element at its very core.

Check out the activities listed below and sign up by calling the center at 706-878-3300.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER JR. tip
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER JR.
Director Lauryn Baltimore

Sautee Stars, our children's theatre after-school class, presents
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer JR..

The holiday classic soars off the screen in this Broadway Junior, musical adaptation of the beloved television special. Filled with holiday hits like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and A Holly Jolly Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™ JR. features all of your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It's an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special.

Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn't feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. Along his journey, he encounters fellow misfits, only to realize that home is where he has belonged the whole time. When a storm threatens to keep Santa's sleigh from taking flight, it's up to Rudolph to save Christmas!

Admission to this class is by audition only. Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 28th between noon and 4pm. Contact director, Lauryn Baltimore, at lauryn.e.baltimore@gmail.com or 706-768-0002 to schedule your child's audition time slot. For auditions, your child will need to sing a song to pre-recorded accompaniment and be prepared to read lines from the script. Casting will be announced on Monday, August 29th.
