Come make your own folk pottery! During this two hour workshop, you will learn how to decorate a jug with faces like a true folk potter. After your sculpting session, your wares will be fired with an alkaline glaze and you will be notified when they are ready to be picked up. Price includes class, materials, and firing.
The same two hour workshop is repeated on 4 separate dates.
You will have time to make a leather shoulder bag of your choice, or choose from any of the following projects: Leather belt, wallet, passport wallet, journal, phone belt pouch, drawstring pouch, lady's wallet, clutch purse and more.
Depending on the project you will be able to learn techniques of cutting leather and stitching styles. If desired, you can learn how to use a wood burning tool to inscribe a design directly on to the leather and then colorize it.
All leathers, materials, tools and instructions are provided, along with templates. No artistic ability is necessary, nor is any previous leather working experience. You do not need to bring anything except lunch, enthusiasm, and your desire to make something beautiful.
Creating and exchanging greeting cards dates back to the ancient Chinese and Egyptians. Learn how to make a card from scratch, then embellish it! All of the supplies will be provided for you to make 5 different greeting cards.

Macrame is a relaxing and meditative fiber art technique of typing knots in a cord to make designs. We'll cover a tiny bit of history, the creative process and basic knots. You will make both a small and a large piece during this full day class.

Weaving can be done on a tiny handmade loom, a medium size loom or a huge loom with lots of shafts, strings and pedals. We'll explore a few of those while you make a sample or two.

Join me for a painting class where we will work with acrylic paint, collage and other fun mediums. We will create on 16 x 20 gallery wrapped canvas; Here are some ideas of things you could bring: a hymnal, an old book, lyrics to a song, newspapers or letters.

A Paint Pour Process: For beginners and those who want to loosen their painting style and approach. You can paint two canvases. One painting will process a random paint pour, and the other will offer some limited control.
We will start with a brief reading on radical acceptance. What do we need to let go of in order to thrive? We will offer time for a reflective creative writing response afterwards.

Dance improvisation is not only about creating new movement but is also defined as freeing the body from habitual movement patterns. The course is designed to explore creativity, inspire confidence, and encourage vulnerable self-expression through improvisational dance movement. Each session will consist of a different style of music, creating an exciting dance environment. This course is perfect for ages sixteen and up; no experience other than willingness required. Folks are encouraged to sign up for the whole course, but drop-ins are welcome!
Meditation is said to be mind's gift to itself. In this 15-to-20-minute guided meditation beginners as well as advanced practitioners will use breath, visualization, and mantra to rest in the nature of mind. A brief introductory talk will be given for those new to meditation and/or curious about basic Buddhist principles. We will have a few available cushions but bringing your own can only help. The yoga classes offered will be a blend between Hatha Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Meditative practices. Each week we will explore one or a blend of these styles. Please bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks, a blanket or towel, and a bolster if you have one.
