HEADLINER • THE AJ GHENT BAND
The AJ Ghent Band is an American band that spans the genres of southern rock, blues, soul and funk music– fusing together what front man (lap steel guitarist) AJ Ghent calls “Southern Soul.” The band was formed in August 2012 and performs original hits such as“Elevator Love” and “Keep on Workin’” and cover hits like “Purple Rain” and “Dock of the Bay”. When AJ takes his band to the stage, there is charm, charisma and a sound that is nothing short of innovative, electrifying, precise yet sensual, and heart-captivating. Often referred to by fans as Prince, Little Richard and James Browns’ musical love child, AJ and his singing guitar are guaranteed to catapult the band straight to the top of the music world.
THE JOHN KING BAND
In a musical landscape filled with overnight YouTube sensations and people being famous, for being famous, there is something very refreshing and trustworthy about an artist who counts by the number of miles on his tires, rather than the number of “likes” to keep him in the game.
It is that drive, paired with raw talent and business savvy, that took this young man out of a little mountain town in Georgia’s Habersham County and into the spotlight opening for award-winning artists, playing over 150 dates per year, prior to having a booking agent.
King grew up working with his hands, building character as he built structures. “Those jobs made me who I am,” says John. “I started off working rock construction, rock masonry, putting rocks in fireplaces, stone furnaces, walkways at about 14 or 15. Although it was tough, it built muscle and character. It was great.”
Citing his parents as the main reason he got into music, John credits them for their influence. “They are the only reason why music was introduced as an early age.” John’s musical tastes were formed early on by the southern rock sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and The Black Crowes. As country music took a huge leap forward in the 1990s, John found himself in awe of one of country music’s greatest entertainers, Garth Brooks.
When it comes to the fans, the bar is set high according to John. “I want to be like Garth and these guys who treat their fans like royalty. That’s how we want to be. Like Kenny Chesney, if you’ve got a long career in country music it’s because your fans love you.”
"Born in Atlanta, with the early years on the Georgia coast, singer/song writer and multi instrumentalist, Caroline Aiken's earliest musical influence was Emma Lee Ramsey of the Georgia Sea Island Singers.
A gifted musician, Aiken began traveling across the globe 1969, performing as a teenager. After years of touring: New York, California, South America, Seattle/NW, and Europe, she moved back to Atlanta in 1986, where her bluesy voice, masterful finger picking guitar style, and hypnotizing stage presence anchored the city's acoustic and folk scene and influenced up and coming artists like the Indigo Girls.
She releases her music independently, tours nationally and internationally, and teaches "ZEN and the ART of PERFORMANCE", "Song Writing In Your Sleep" and "Guerilla Guitar Works", She is touring to support her 8th and newest recording, "Welcome Home." -- GEORGIA MUSIC HALL OF FAME
Donna Hopkins is the real deal. Born and raised on an Alabama farm, Donna witnessed hardship first hand, channeling it into the soulful music that she creates and performs. Music runs in her family; her mother performed rock and roll in go-go boots and mini-skirts and her grandfather was a fine musician in his own right. Following in their footsteps, Donna is a consummate seasoned performer with many songs and performances under her belt. Georgia Music Magazine calls Donna Hopkins a "genuine triple threat" due to her prowess as a singer, songwriter and guitarist. In addition to her other talents, Donna also wears the producer's hat, working with and developing up-and-coming talent in the Atlanta area.
Donna's long-awaited third and newest release, Comin' Alive, is the culmination of four long years of hard work; the results are worth the wait with songs that are alternately uplifting and soul-stirring, and foot stomping' rockin' good fun. Recorded at the renowned Tree Sound Studios, the album manages to capture the high energy and emotion of Donna's live shows.
From the hills of Old Ireland to the hollows of Appalachia, The Spud Brothers draw from the best of both traditions. Uilleann piper/wooden flutist John Maschinot and guitarist/singer/banjo-player/fiddler Evan Kinney hold forth with foot tapping, hand clapping tunes and songs from the old world and the new! And Jesse "Dyn-o-mite" Edgerton rocks the stage with his "flat-foot" style dancing.... akin to clogging but so much more!

THE SPUD BROTHERS
ContraForce has one goal, and that is to rock the sh*t out of some folk tunes. This three-piece powerhouse packs the frenzied bowing arm of Andrae Raffield, the Donkey Kong slammin’ palms of drummer and saxophone player Joey Dorwart, and the acoustic and electric guitar onslaught of Jimi “Two Nails” Periano, into a hurricane of wild, energetic, kick-in-the-mouth contra music that will leave you gasping for breath and begging for more.
