Headwaters, SNCA’s widely acclaimed community story performance, needs material for the 2012 production. Share your stories at “The Long Winter’ s Night of Stories” on Monday, January 30th in the Community Hall. Dinner will be provided by The Stovall House, free of charge, to participants. The group will gather from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in story circles, then have dinner and share more stories.
The tentative tltle for Headwaters 2012 is “Didja Hear?“ The story team is looking for stories about what people hear, what people think they heard, what people want to hear and don’t want to hear.
Headwaters 2012 has been awarded a $15,000 Georgia Tourism Product Development grant and a $20,000 grant from The National Endowment for the Arts. This marks the sixth consecutive year of Headwaters competing successfully at a national level for recognition and support.
Jerry Stropnicky, director of Headwaters 2009 & 2010, and dramaturge for 2012, will join us for the evening of storytelling.
Please RSVP to Headwaters@snca.org
or call 706-878-3300 to sign up
for the story gathering!
