Plan ahead for a very special night! With seven CDs and a nomination for a Contemporary Folk CD Grammy in 2006, Caroline Aiken is independent to the bone. She has done numerous performances to benefit thousands of causes and played thousands of shows in 40 years of touring at home and abroad. Writing and producing shows, festivals, theaters and series, Caroline has also served for 12 years as Entertainment Director for the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. Caroline has performed with artists such as Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, The Indigo Girls, Dan Fogelberg and many others. Her live performances are astonishing and she is known for her ability to “jaw drop a crowd” with her soaring dark-hued voice, spellbinding guitar work and her powerful stage presence.

Dede Vogt has earned a gold record for her work with The Indigo Girls and sings with a deep, husky voice that echoes with experience. She is responsible for helping to nurture the Atlanta music scene and has led the way for folk musicians for quite some time. As a multi-instrumentalist, her wide range of influences and provocative style help to create magic.

“She has been my idol for so long, I used to sneak into her shows at The Harvest Moon Saloon when I was 16 and then I’d come home and try to play her songs. She is the backbone and then I’d come home and try to play her songs. She is the backbone of the acoustic scene.” – Michelle Malone

In celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day, a traditional meal of corned beef and cabbage, boiled potatoes, Irish soda bread and fruit trifle will be served in the Community Hall before the show. Dinner will be served between 6:00 pm & 7:15 pm

You will want to get your tickets early for this show because it will sell out quickly. The opportunity to have two such powerful performers onstage at one time doesn’t happen too often. Showtime is 8:00 pm in the SNCA Center Theatre.
