Sol Driven Train |
Sol Driven Train is a band in motion. Perpetually piling on and off the bus, the momentum of their hard work and heart-felt music propels the group upward. At shows, the band members bounce to the pulse of the music along with the crowd. Stylistically the band “seamlessly mixes Allmanesque Southern rock, languid world-beat, swampy funk and downright catchy melodies as they swap lead singers and instruments. A punchy horn section adds an extra dimension of sweaty soul to the genre-blurring jam party” (Atlanta Creative Loafing, 11/21/06). All that sweat is paying off for Sol Driven Train. With their honest songwriting and energetic live performances, they are attracting fans devoted to witnessing their musical rise.along the way.

Big City Sunrise |
In March of 2003 six people with very different backgrounds came together over fried Catfish and Pabst Blue Ribbon to do a little pickin' and grinnin'. Though some were old friends and some were new faces, it didn't take very long to realize that musically and personally they had found a bond. Five hours, three catfish, two cases of beer and forty-seven minutes later....Big City Sunrise was born. Conceived under the idea that a sense of community and a pure, youthful enjoyment of music would create a fulfilling atmosphere for both audience and musician alike. Big City Sunrise still believes these are the key ingredients to great music and a great live show with fun for everyone involved.
At the present, BCS has recently released their long awaited 3rd CD "Bring It Back" on their own "Lucky Turtle Records" label. Recorded between Dec. 2006-Dec. 2007 in Athens, Georgia with John Keane, esteemed producer and engineer for legendary bands such as Widespread Panic, R.E.M, B-52's, Cowboy Junkies and Indigo Girls. |

Blueground Undergrass |
Formed originally in 1998 by Jeff Mosier, Blueground Undergrass has developed a solid reputation and nationwide following by playing its multi-faceted music mix coast-to-coast. The band has always been known for exciting performances and eclectic arrangements. Its sonic wall of twang type sound pleases the whole spectrum of fans from hippies to cloggers to rockers, taking Blueground Undergrass to the brink of almost moshpit energy, yet guiding each show with song-driven clarity along the way. By successfully parlaying an extensive knowledge of bluegrass music with major elements of jazz and Southern rock, Blueground Undergrass has forged a unique, new listening experience, one rooted in the essentials of great American genres. Speaking recently of Blueground's sound Mosier said, "I never want our music to lose the tradition of the porch no matter how much remodeling was done to the house over time. The band will continue in that spirit and tradition by re-creating old Blueground Undergrass originals, rocking out bluegrass standards, and by introducing new songs and sounds to their live shows." For sure, Blueground Undergrass will be doing what they have always done best, which is to provide every audience with an energetic and unforgettable live show of great music. And with the superb studio offering that is Faces, the band is poised to take on a whole new set of devoted listeners.

Curley Maple |
Curley Maple is a project that David Blackmon has been wanting to do for a long time !! David has been known for playing in the jam band scene with Blueground Undergrass and Widespread Panic. He has also had a deep appreciation for traditional music (old time, folk, texas, bluegrass, irish, canadian.......the list goes on) and grew up playing bluegrass festivals and fiddle contests. “The older I get the more I find myself returning to my youth and wanting to put together a stringband to play traditional folk and fiddle music.” says David. Well that time has come!! Curley Maple named after a shelter on the Appalachian Trail......not to mention, curly maple is also used to make musical instruments too.

The Mosier Brothers |
Almost 30 years ago, Jeff and his brother Johnny started playing guitar and banjo for fun in church or wherever people needed or wanted to hear bluegrass. Not everybody is lucky enough to play music with their family. They credit their grandmother/guitarist Mable Hayes of Blountville, Tenn. for teaching them about bluegrass. Words can’t describe how wonderful it is to play music with your brother. In the mid-eighties, they created and produced the weekly bluegrass radio show “Born in a Barn”on WRFG in Atlanta, featuring a mix of new and old bluegrass recordings as well as live music and interviews. Playing dates all over the southeast, Jeff and Johnny honed their skills as players and songwriters and eventually created the band that is now a nationally recognized touring band Blueground Undergrass. Today The Mosier Brothers work as a trio with the legendary fiddle champion David Blackmon. For driving bluegrass at it’s finest, their show is not to be missed.
