For Children of All Ages and their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors or whomever else would like to join in the fun! Saturday, October 10th from 4:30 to 6:00pm Sautee Nacoochee Center Gym 283 Ga Hwy 255 N Just north of the Old Sautee Store This is a FAMILY ORIENTED event NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! (Honest!) Contra dancing is an EASY-TO-LEARN blend of folk and old-time square dancing. A caller teaches each dance before it is actually done to the music, so everyone has an idea of what to expect when the music begins. The caller then leads the dances while they are being done to music, so dancers are able to perform each movement to the music with ease. The Sautee dances are all about fun and community, so expect a warm welcome and a lot of smiling! It’s a great way to make friends, build confidence, develop movement skills, and, most important of all, for children and the adults they love to have fun together!
For more information call Walter Daves at 706-754-3254. There will also be a potluck dinner at 6:30pm for those who’d like to stay on and share a meal. Just bring a dish to share! And that’s not all! After the potluck we will have our regular Saturday night Contra Dance (7:30-11pm)
