The SNCA School of
Visual Arts is a non-profit art school where adults can learn painting and drawing
regardless of whether their talents are expressed or latent. Teaching methods focus on the individuality
of the student, allowing each person to develop his and her
own expressive style while learning sound skills, techniques and principles. All levels of studio courses are offered in a wide diversity of media, including drawing and painting with graphite, charcoal, pen &
ink, color pencils, watercolor, oils and pastels. Both afternoon and evening classes for adults are offered in our studio located on the premises and part of the Sautee Nacoochee Community Center in
Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia. An art store is located in the studio and students may purchase many
of the art materials needed for class on campus.
Studio teaching at The SNCA School of Visual Arts is designed so that those who seek instruction need never fear being forced into any mold or any style nor being scorned if their latent direction differs from that of the instructor or other students. The focus is on equipping the student with traditional basic skills and encouraging them to use these skills in finding and pursuing their own visions. The value of art, we hold, is human variety made manifest and visible, so anyone with a sincere desire to study art is welcome at The SNCA School of Visual Arts. We do not discriminate on any basis of sex, race, religion or ethnic origin. We host a Student Show at the end of each quarter to showcase the Art Studio at SNCA student accomplishments. Visit the on-line Gallery to see photos of recent work. Please enjoy exploring our site to find out more about the Art Classes, Exhibits and Happenings at The SNCA School of Visual Arts.
